SWAT volunteered to continue publishing the CWML. Dr. Barton approved the request in 1998, and donated the CWML Archive to SWAT. The name CWML was changed to the Car Wars Internet Newsletter (CWIN), and its frequency was changed from bi-weekly to monthly.
CWIN was published from March 1998 to April 2013. All issues of CWIN are available on the CWIN Archive.
Many of the links in the issues of the CWML are no longer functional, including all HVD Web pages that have been offline since 2002. Some of these links may provide information by entering them into the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
SWAT has been reprinting several HVD resources for Car Wars to its Web site. These files are listed on the SWAT HQ Salvage Yard.
