Version 2.5.1
All the vehicles currently presented are stock vehicles. However, since the AVRO president is only allowed to use stock vehicles in combat, he has made sure that all are as deadly as possible.
As you probably have noticed, each vehicle is usually equipped with high amounts of armour, good personal equipment, and also designed around a particular theme: rammer, flamer, dropper, shooter or vulture.
All personnel are equipped with at least body armour, ABV, some explosive grenades, a gun that can do vehicular damage, and a hatchet (only wimps take bowie knives). The hatchet was included because it can do 1d-2 full damage to vehicles. This way, pedestrians will always be considered a threat to vehicles.
The biggest weakness in all the designs are the tires. The tires tend to be PRSB at best. While protected with wheelguards, none can withstand more than two shots from a heavy weapon. Future designs may use better tires, although at the expensive of less armour.
All drivers and gunners are 50 lbs. & 1 DP. This from the optional rules printed in ADQ 8-4, p. 37. Obviously, these personnel will not survive vaults. However, their lighter weight has allowed the vehicles to be even more heavily armoured. If you want to convert these drivers to 150 lbs. & 3 DP, then do the following:
Over the long years that AVRO has been in existence, I have had to create a few simplistic tools to help me in my gamemastering. Presented here are some of the tools that I have had to use in vehicle generation.
