In 1990 there was only one division and the top 3 teams made the playoffs. The #2 (Egrets) team played the #3 team (Frangos) in a best 2-of-3. The Egrets won the series 2-1, and played the #1 team (Collective Unconscious) in a best of 5. The Egrets won that series 3-2. Jose Canseco squeezed home Joe Carter for the Egrets to score a key run in a late game.

1991 Playoffs
With the move to two divisions, a simpler, winner Early Division vs. winner Late Division format was established. Due to questionable rain delays, however, a one-game playoff between the Frangos and Granolas was necessary. The Frangos won the game and played the Collective in the series. The Frangos beat the Collective four games to one. Frango second basemen Rod Carew was a surprise MVP winner.

1992 Playoffs
The Hayseeds held serve at home and managed to split four games at Wrigley field to take a tight seven game series. Surprisingly, a big winning pitcher for each side lost two games. Satchel Paige, coming off a league record 12-win season, dropped games 1 and 6. Christy Mathewson, who darted off to a 9-2 start, lost games 2 and 7. Bill Foster was his old reliable self, beating Matty in both his starts.

1993 Playoffs
The scrappy Allouets, backed by the most powerful 1-2 punch in the game, surprise the Granolas, who had dominated the Late Division. Chet Brewer was the only bright spot for a Granola pitching staff that sported two 13 game winners and 4 all stars. After the Granolas squeaked by in the first game 2-1 in 10 innings, their bullpen died in the second game, starting a collapse that would continue throughout the series. MVP George Sisler racked up a record-breaking 9 RBIs over 6 games. The Granolas were slowed by batting champ Frank Chance's injury in the 3rd game, which caused him to miss the entire set at the Polo Grounds. It was an offensive series; fans saw only the second 10+ run game in playoff history (game 3).
