I, too, was not a believer when the new building (city hall) was purchased, but I now think that this was a shrewd move on the part of a mayor with the vision to see what could be accomplished for Renton as it enters its second century of growth.

As far as the staircase goes; yes, it may be bit grander than we're used to, yet it completes a modern municipal building to be proud of, which will serve its purpose well for years to come.

Thank you, Mayor Tanner, for seeing this through. It is indeed a marvelous asset for our city.
