Taco Packet Replacement

My son likes tacos. Soft flour tortilla and beef, with packet seasoning, and absolutely nothing else on them. Alas, most of the packet seasonings (except Aldi's, and maybe one of the ones you can get at Whole Foods) have milk products in them. And all of those have onion family in them. If I'm gonna feed my son, my husband and me and not offend my daughter's anti-allium nose, I gotta make my own taco seasoning. This is an unreasonable set of criteria, unless you are a middle-aged person who is both lactose intolerant and allium sensitive -- and there are more of you out there than I had realized initially.

1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp cumin
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp powdered chili (I use New Mexico but whatever)
some fresh ground black pepper
a tsp or a bit more of corn starch
some sugar

You know what to do with taco seasoning packets: a pound of browned ground meat or meat substitute, 1/4 - 1/3 cup of water and the seasoning. Simmer and serve.
