Various Strega Drinks

Samantha

Strega means Witch in Italian. The cocktail naming convention for Strega calls for a name with "Witch" in it. Why stop there? Let's name some variations on classic cocktails for particularly beloved witches, real or fictional.

1 ounce Strega
.5 ounce Extra Dry Vermouth (La Quintinye)
2 dashes Scrappy's Cardamom Bitters
lemon twist

Chilled in a small martini glass. Classy! Of course, you could serve it up in a bigger coupe with larger amounts. I won't tell!

St. Joan

This is a Strega and Tonic, thus a ST. So we need a saint who was a witch. Who better than Saint Joan, Jeanne d'Arc. I added Scrappy's Cardamom Bitters because it goes so well with the Strega. Served over ice in any proportions you like. I used Fever Tree tonic.

A Witch in Manhattan

1 ounce Rittenhouse Rye
1 ounce Antica
1 ounce Strega

Depicted is rocks in a lowball glass. I hadn't figured out to add the Scrappy's Cardamom Bitters yet but you can learn from my mistakes.

A Witch in Manhattan

My 2018 New Year's Resolution was to get better at making more drinks consistently.
