Split Pea Soup

As with most of the soups, this is Sean's recipe.

Dice:

1 Onion
1 Carrot

Place in large pot:

1 Ham Bone
1 Pound Split Peas
3 Qt. Cold Water

Bring to a boil. Lower heat. Add:

Diced Onion and Carrot
1 Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Cayenne

Boil covered until peas are soft, about 2 hours. Strip ham bone adding meat to pan.
