coconut milk
peanut butter
cumin
coriander
powdered chili or something comparable
sugar
tamarind paste, juice or similar
There are a couple strategies here. If you are using any of this fresh, you can saute it after food processing it. Otherwise, just mix the coconut milk in a pan with enough peanut butter to get the consistency you want, then add everything else until you like the smell and taste. It is peanut sauce. It is hard to go too wrong here.
