At some point, Mary Kaye asked me to bring a fruit salad to a party. I'd never made one, and uniformly hated all the ones I'd had. The non-yogurt version is what I initially made, but I eventually experimented with the yogurt and decided I liked that even better, altho Sean continues to prefer the original.
Peel:
2 Oranges (then section)
2 Apples (then quarter)
2 Peaches or Nectarines (ditto)
2 Bananas
Chop:
Apple Quarters
Orange Sections
Peach Quarters
Slice:
2 Kiwi
6 or so Strawberries
Bananas
Squeeze:
1 Lemon
1 Lime
Mix all of the above with some raisins and whatever fresh berries (blue, black, raspberry, etc.) you can inexpensively lay hands on, and some Pavich Raisins. You can, if you like, stir in a container of Peach Whole Soy Yogurt. This recipe can be expressed in a lot less space, but I find that the order of operations conveys how much frigging work is involved in this particular dish. It is worth it, and it's an easy way to suck down almost all of your 5 recommended servings of fruits and vegetables on a hot summer day.
