1 Cup shortening
3/4 Cup sugar
3/4 Cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 Cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 Cups chocolate chips
Cream shortening and sugars, a stand mixer makes this easy. Add the eggs, then the vanilla. Add the flour and soda together; mix but do not beat. Fold in the chocolate chips. If the batter is not stiff, the cookies will be fragile.
375 degrees for about 10 minutes. You don't need to grease your pan.
