Wyoming State Championships
Although Wyoming is not known for its duelling, its yearly championship draws a large, enthusiastic crowd (perhaps too enthusiastic in some cases). Exposure is low, but the winners are treated like royalty for several days after the event. Be prepared! The arena surface might be ice-packed, snowed-in, slushy, or dry depending on the weather (which is very unpredictable this time of year). KC-1 Invitational
This is a very hard tournament to compete in, but if you do well, congratulations! Prize money is extremely generous; exposure is nationwide. Expect to compete against known national and regional pros from across the United States, Canada, Deseret, and the Free Oil States. Professional scouts monitor the arena statistics like hawks, looking for potential recruits. Even though the invitational is outside KC-1 city limits, tournament competitors are advised to be careful when they leave the arena grounds. The local police have been known to harass or detain duellists for little or no reason. Any attempt at bribery will land you in jail. |
