Where Did You Learn
My father use to say and show
Many things about life and songs
I have a formal education
I know right from wrong
Don't look for answers in your mind
Most answers are not for free
When you have questions
Better ask yourself, not me!
If you can be honest with yourself
Then you can reach through the pain
Because most answers are in your heart
And there they will always remain
In this life you'll find it true
If you control the money
Most people attend to you
Now don't you think that's funny
I've learned to focus on the heart
This weighs what is on our mind
Everyone can have the rest
It's not worth it anyway
My heart, your heart, our heart
The place that heaven resides
It shows us to help one another
Let's learn to live a better way
