A Family
Please define a family
Just what are they to us
Are they a lost unit
Why do we make a fuss
Something to sell books to
What is defined as gone
After the age of Iness
Just what has gone wrong
Is it women's liberation
Or gay folks liberty
Is it the black people
Or white folk like you and me
What are they replaced with
A single parent family
Are the children learning
Things like responsibility
Now that these are grown
They seem such selfish folk
Is that what their learning
It all seems like a joke
So we can just start over
Like back fifty years ago
Or maybe loves our answer
Like in times we use to know
