Email Set-Up

  1. In the Outlook Express Main Screen click on Tools then select Accounts. Main If you just need to check the e-mail settings then skip the setup instructions.
  2. In the Internet Accounts click on the Mail tab. Click on the Add button. Select Mail. Internet Accounts
  3. Fill in your name as you want it to appear when you send people e-mail. Click Next. Internet Accounts
  4. Fill in your Seanet email address. Click Next. Email Address
  5. Select POP3 from the pulldown menu at the top. Fill in pop.seanet.com as the incoming server, mx.seanet.com as the outgoing server. Click Next. Email Server Names
  6. Enter your username and password. Click Next. Internet Mail Login
  7. Click Finish. Finish
  8. Click once on your Account to highlight it.. Click Properties. Highlight Account
  9. Verify Your Name and Email Address. Verify Name and Email
  10. Verify your servers.
    pop.seanet.com as the incoming server
    mx.seanet.com as the outgoing server
    Verify your username and password.
    Check My server requires authentication. Verify Server
  11. In the Connection tab this box can be unchecked because this setting is stored in Internet Explorer's settings. Connection
  12. In the Security tab the default settings should be fine. Connection
  13. In the Advanced tab set the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port to 25 or 587. Verify that Incoming mail (POP3) is set to 110. Click on the OK button. Advanced
  14. Click on the Close button. Close
