Access Numbers

Access Numbers

The best way to verify whether one of Seanet’s modem numbers is a local call for you, is to pick up your phone and dial one of the access numbers (do not dial a “1” first!). If you reach a modem, the number is local for you! If you hear a message saying that “you must first dial a 1 when calling this number” then the number is long-distance and you should try a different access number.

Warning: If you must dial a “1” in order to complete the call to a Seanet access number — or if your computer has been directly or indirectly configured to dial a “1” in order to connect to a Seanet number — then you are making a long-distance call.

Seanet personnel do no have special access to phone company information and cannot determine whether you are within the local calling area for a specific Seanet number. Seanet customers are solely responsible for ensuring that they are not unintentionally placing long-distance calls to Seanet’s modems or offices. Seanet cannot accept financial responsibility for phone bills incurred as a result of calls placed to Seanet’s numbers.

Note: Please use your full email address as your dial-up login name, i.e. username@seanet.com, username@premier1.net or username@ncia.com.
