Paris -- The City of Light
This is indeed the cultural center of the world!

This is, of course, the Eiffel Tower, probably the most recognizable
landmark on Earth.

By day...

...and by night.

Here's the Arc de Triomphe, Napoleon's shrine to himself and his
conquests. Ironically, it wasn't completed until after he died.

The Cemetery of Père Lachaise contains some extremely famous corpses, among whom are
classical composer Frédéric Chopin and rock icon Jim Morrison.

This is the Moulin Rouge, where the Can-Can originated. It has recently
been repopularized by the movie bearing its name. (No, we didn't go to any of the Can-Can shows.)
