This is the Elecrical Schematic for the Relay Switching System I built. It uses 4 300 amp relays, which toggle the output to the windlass, reversing the voltage according to the Relay Control Swtich position. The switch is a 3P3T momentary switch with very heavy spring return to center. The circuit breaker is a 25 amp resettable. It is mounted next to the main battery and supplied through the main battery switch. By controlling the Windlass with a Relay System, All the heavy power leads are confined to the engine bay, and need not be run up to the instrument panel. |
