Prepping New Parts for Installation

Here's the new 140 AMP Delco alternator I got on Ebay to replace the wimpy 56 AMP Mando original.
Even though it's a 'Marine' alternator, it still needs to be 'Marinized' to survive corrosion free in the engine bay. Here, I dissassembled the case, and painted all the parts with black epoxy. The screen areas have been masked off.
Better.
These new design small frame starters for GM V8 are great.
They are half the size and weight of the original Delco direct drive unit. These are planetary drive, and the motor spins at an incredible 18K. Sounds like a jet turbine, and cranks the engine very fast. Another Ebay purchase.
Marinized with 3 coats of epoxy.
A new Sierra  water pump. Very high quality.

A new chrome front cover off Ebay for $6.00. In the second pic, I had to cut the timing scale off the old cover, and spot weld onto the new one,  as the new ones don't come with one.
