| Installation began
with removing the existing system. As I noted, not a pleasant task.
To fit the larger through-hull fittings, I ground out the original 3/4" fittings from the ouside, so the outer flange separated and the inner nipple fell away inside. The holes were cleaned and routed out to fit the 1- 1/8" fittings. The new fittings were bedded in 5200. I had to make a wrench for the fitting's nuts from aluminum bar, cut out on the bandsaw. |

This shows the difference in size of the original 3/4" and new 1- 1/8" fittings. This is the forward bilge pump oulet. |

This is the aft through-hull installed in the starboard rear of the MaXum engine bay. You need to be an accomplished contortionist to get back there. |

This is the forward through-hull. I had to cut an access into the mid cabin forward bulkhead to remove the original, and install the new fitting. |
