The fuel tank is removed and sandblasted. The metal is in excellent shape, except for some slight rust perforation around the fuel sender sealing lip, where water can pool. |

The tank is painted with a thick coat of marine epoxy, which will also seal the fuel sender lip. Barring internal corrosion, the tank will now last another 100 years. |
