1940 Newspaper article indicates that Phoebe Wocott met Truman Pettibone at a grand ball in Cleveland when she accompanied her father Benajah, who was called from the Peninsula to Cleveland to play his violin so there would be music to celebrate the end of the War of 1812
Phoebe married 1, 2 Truman Pettibone son of Isaac Pettibone and Dolly Case on 10 Mar 1814 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. Truman was born 3 on 6 Feb 1791 in Norfolk, Connecticut. He was christened in 1791 in Norfolk, Connecticut. He died 4 on 22 Jul 1830 in Danbury, Ottawa, Ohio.
First Justice of the Peace, Danbury Township. From Pettibone Family Geneaology: Truman Pettibone came to Ohio about 1805 or 1806 from Middlebury, Vermont and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. He met and married Phoebe Wolcott in December of 1813, and in the spring of 1815 moved with his wife and her family to Danbury Township, Ottawa County, Ohio, where he died of a sun stroke in 1828. Phoebe Wolcott was born in Danbury, Connecticut (doubtful) and moved with her parents to Ohio in 1804 (5 years too early) and settled in Danbury Towship, Ottawa County, Ohio. Her father's family and four others were the first settlers in the Township. They were driven away by Indians in the fall of 1813 and lived in Newburg, Ohio, now part of the City of Cleveland. During her residence in Newburg, she was married and returned to Ottawa County in the spring of 1815 where she made her home until her death.

Betty Neidecker maintains that Selima Wolcott married in turn brothers John and Jacob Ramsdell after the intervening death of John. Newspaper article from 1940 says she was left a widow with five sons upon the death of John. She then married his brother Jacob and reared his two sons and five daughters. The name "Selima" may have over the years been "cleansed" and is now generally referred to as "Selina" or "Salina"

Cleveland Cemetery records show a William Wolcott born 5/27/1801? We don't know what this means.
William married 2 Arvilla Knapp [scrapbook] 1 on 21 Feb 1830. Arvilla was born 3 on 10 Sep 1810 in Danbury, Ottawa, Ohio. She died 4 on 6 Jun 1893.

Henry Wolcott's third (if you count the Indian) wife, died aged 21 years and was the younger sister of Mary A. It was related by Rachel that after Elizabeth's death Henry wished to marry a third sister in the family but their father said "no!"

Henry's daughter. Rachel, has told that Henry had four Wives. The first wife was an Indian woman. Word came to them that her tribe was angry with her, and were coming to punish her for marrying a white man. Henry was their friend and they were not after him, only her. She hid in a swamp, and her tribe did not find her. However, as result of being in the swamp she caught pneumonia and soon died.
