Thrust engine pedestal mount ready to be glassed on!
Having learned to carve propellers while building the hovercrafts, using the air drive concept on a small boat was a temptation I could not resist!
After cutting out 1/4" plywood pannels to the desired shape with a saber saw, Pat Eidson with saftey glasses, a 13.4 volt cordless drill and a determind look, drills the holes for the stitching and secures transom to bottom pannel.
Sanding her down and sealing with epoxy.
Here we are glueing the inner rail on and have set the tops of the frames inplace, this will help fair the lines which will determine the exact location of the frames, the stringers are there just for show at this point.

This is one of our many on going projects, so please check back with us for updates

We have a donor for a thrust engine!, this is an old Monkey Ward 8hp briggs with a 1" crank! almost a shame to butcher it,, almost!
Steering stick and linkage fitted, rudders in place just for show at this point.
Five coats of spar varnish on the bottom and we are ready to flip her over and fit the seat and do it all again!, I am going to install some aluminum skids on the external stringers, bilge battons, runners or what ever you want to call them,,,,,, this sure would have been the time to do it!! dang!
The side covering of the main guard ring and small opening bellow engine mount is half inch wire mesh, the front will be a tightly stetched commercial fishing net, like on the big hovercraft.
