Confidential to Sluggo--making a wood stove out of a beer keg is a little like making a car out of kleenex. Its a bad idea. Now back to our regular blog...
Got back last weekend to BC. Now I'm def in the mood to go back this weekend. Time before last was a few weeks; all I did was start up the bus. Phew...it starts so easy, even when it was below freezing out. Last time I carried up a water heater, and some SOLAR panels! I'd ordered them a few weeks ago on the internet, and they were cheap, like half of what most panels cost. Only 90 watts but its a start, and also an opportunity to learn. Also I picked up four 6 volt golf cart deep cycle batteries, supposedly there's a two year warranty on them but you couldn't tell by looking at the receipt. Anyway, total expenditure for the above around $600. By far the most expensive so far, well excepting the roof rack, and hopefully that record will hold for some time. On the plus side yesterday I found a nice kitchen faucet with pull-out spray for $8.

Here's the latest...apologies for my cheapo PDA camera:

You think its finished yet? No way, but at least the yellow school bus is gone...

Well I may be biased, but I think it's looking good. On to some wiring (and more painting)...
