So we went to the Washington coast for the weekend. Really enjoyable, oddly...Mark and I drove 3 hours to see Misha and a friend of his at a cabin in Ocean Park. His lover died a few weeks ago. Zombie porno, nun jokes, fresh seafood, kite flying, etc.

BJ was on my mind of course, I think maybe he inhabited my body briefly...I had some sort of spell and fell down on the woodpile. I was actually quite sober, or anyway not very drunk, but in an odd state to say the least. Even more spacey than usual...

Also I found myself thinking about Charles a lot, since we'd done several trips together to Canon Beach (Oregon) in the 1990's. Wood stoves, windy beaches, and prescription drugs. Misha's cabin reminded Mark and me of our shack in British Columbia, which was sort of weird for no reason. Not sure how much Misha will visit Ocean Park with BJ gone. Odd how visceral I find my affections these days. I think Mark and I both were very aware of the parallels, and then to find out that Misha is a widow five times over.

A lawyer friend of Mark's strongly recommended an attorney for my upcoming 'pre-trial'. I believe him. He says he'll forward a name & phone number of a local liberal democrat that's good. Bob's great. He says the judge will pound me if he think's he'll get away with it.

Well anyway, while at the coast I found a 12v RV water pump at a garage sale. And a vibrating sander that'll hopefully rough up the paint prior to spiffing the bus up...when? Can't believe its April...

The bus is still in Lynden, and I'm still awaiting a new driveway at the cabin. And I'm still spinning my wheels trying to find a good stove pipe & ladder fabricator. A stove dealer suggested an 8" flange custom made to match the roof which sounds good. I'll need a template. Once that's made I could cut a hole in the roof maybe. Today there was an old camping trailer for sale in town for $50, could've been a good start for parting out appliances. I'm sort of relieved though--it just sold. Be careful what you wish for.
