WS_FTP is a popular FTP program for Windows 95/98/NT. These are screen shots from the Pro version of WS_FTP, which you can get from www.ipswitch.com.

This is the main screen of the WS_FTP Pro interface:

The left pane represents the local hard drive. The right pane represents the remote server.

To transfer files, highlight them and click on the appropriate arrow between the two panes.
Files can be transfered in ASCII (text) or Binary (images) mode by selecting the radio button below the two panes.
The Auto check box doesn't do anything unless you have configured some file types in the Options.

To setup new sessions (to different FTP servers) you click on the Connect button on the lower left. (This screen also appears when you first run the program.) Here's how to set it up to upload to Seanet's Web servers:

If you want to specify an start up directory on the local machine you can do so by selecting the new site from the Sites screen and clicking on the Properties button. The setting is on the Startup tab.

If you did not specify an Inital Local Folder you may need to browse to the correct directory on the local machine once the connection is established.
