If you have just recently installed Eudora and never set it up, when you first open the program it may bring the configuration screen up automatically. If you open Eudora and see the In box, then click on Tools, and Options. (If you are using Eudora 1.5.2 - 1.5.4, you will want to click on Special, and then Settings.)

Note: You may notice, as you fill in the information, that some fields have already been filled in with information you typed in previous fields. Eudora is helping you so that you don't have to fill in the same info over and over again.


Getting Started
Fill in the following:
  • POP account: username@pop.seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Real Name: Type in whatever you want to show up on your e-mails to others
  • Return address: username@seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Connection Method: Mark Winsock.

Personal Info
(All of this information should already be filled in.)
  • POP account: username@pop.seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Real Name: Type in whatever you want to show up on your e-mails to others
  • Return address: username@seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Dialup username:Leave blank

Hosts
  • POP account: username@pop.seanet.com (all lower case)
  • SMTP : mx.seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Ph: (leave blank)
  • Finger: (leave blank)

Checking Mail
  • POP account: username@pop.seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Check for mail every 10 minutes (or 5 minutes if you are trying to keep your connection active)

The following are check boxes:

  • Do not check Skip messages over 40k in size
  • Check Send on Check
  • Check Save Password
  • Do not check Leave mail on server
  • Authentication style is: Passwords

Sending Mail
  • Return address: username@seanet.com (all lower case)
  • Domain to add to unqualified addresses: Leave blank
  • SMTP server: mx.seanet.com

Check boxes in this window (all should be checked):

  • Immediate Send
  • Send on check
  • Word Wrap
  • May use quoted-printable
  • Keep copies of outgoing mail
  • Tabs in body of message
  • Use Signature

Advanced Network

The only thing on this screen that needs to be changed is:

  • UNCHECK Cache Network Info

The rest of these settings do not need to be changed. Click OK and you are done!
