MacOS X PPPoE Setup



Under the Apple Menu in the top left hand corner of the screen select "System Preferences"




Select the Network icon



Location should be set to Automatic.
From the "Show" menu select your network card. This is usually "Built in Ethernet".



If you have a modem in your computer you need to make sure that it doesn't have "priority" over your DSL.
Click on the "Show" menu and select "active ports..." This should show a list of availble "ports". Make sure that your ethernet is in the top of the list by clicking and dragging it to the top of the list.


Set the Configure menu to "Using DHCP". Enter the primary and secondary name servers of 199.181.164.1 and 199.181.164.2
Enter the search domain of seanet.com


Click on the PPPoE tab and check the box "Connet using PPPoE".
Type "Seanet" for the service provider. enter your Seanet username in the "Account Name" field and your Seanet password. If you have a premier1.net or ncia.com account also include your domain in the account name field. eg: customer@premier1.net.
Check the "Show PPPoE status in menu bar box". This will add a convenient menu next to your clock.



Click on the "PPPoE Options..." button.
Check the box to "Connect automatically..."
Uncheck "Prompt every xx minutes..."
Click OK


Click Apply now or quit the System Preferences to save the changes.
Open up your mail or web browser to have the PPPoE connection start automatically or go up to the PPPoE menu and select connect.
