This document will walk you through the process of configuring your Internet connection using
the Internet Setup Assistant.
*Note that you can also MODIFY existing Internet configuration settings using the
Internet Setup Assistant.
You'll find the Internet Setup Assistant in the Internet Connection folder
on your hard drive. Double click on the Internet Setup Assistant to start it.
To Begin:
- Choose Update to set up your Seanet account on your machine.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

Internet Configuration
- What would you like to do? Mark Add Internet Configuration.
- Then press the right arrow button.

Configuration Name and Connection
- For the name of the connection, type Seanet.
- How will you be connecting to the Internet? Select Modem.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

Modem Settings
- Which modem are you using? (Select your modem from the list.)
- Which port is the modem connected to? Modem port or Printer port (usually
modem port).
- Does your phone line use tone or pulse? Most likely, the answer is tone.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

Configuration Information
- Enter the phone number that is local to
you.
- What name do you use with this service? This is your Seanet login name. (NOT your
e-mail address or your real name, but your login name.)
- What is your password? This is your Seanet password.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

IP Address
- Is there an IP address for this configuration? Mark No.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

Domain Name Servers
- What are the DNS addresses for this configuration? Type the following:
- 199.181.164.1
- 199.181.164.2
- What is the domain name for the configuration? Type: seanet.com.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

E-mail Address and Password
- What is the e-mail address for this configuration? username@seanet.com.
- What is the password for this configuration? Enter your Seanet password.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

E-mail Account and Host Computer
- What is the e-mail account for this configuration? Enter your username, then @pop.seanet.com,
like this: username@pop.seanet.com.
- What is the e-mail host for this configuration? Enter mx.seanet.com.
- Press the right arrow button to continue.

Newsgroup Host Computer
- What is the newsgroup host for this configuration? news.seanet.com.
